Invest in yourself
Let's break it down into 3 categories of people. Person 1 is extremely poor and barely making ends meet. They hear the phrase, it takes money to make money and think to themselves, "Mmm how? With what money? Where am I supposed to find the money to invest in the first place". Person 1, may need to get additional income in the form of a part time job if possible or, get a higher paying job if possible. Where there is a will there is a way, and in this case to get to the end goal, you have to explore your options. Person 2 makes a little bit of discretionary income and instead of investing in their goals they say things like, "I worked very hard for the this money so therefore I need to enjoy it". They spend money on vacations, festivals, food, clubbing, drinking and or smoking, etc. Person 2, has to make an attempt at shifting their mindset to understand that investing in your goals and future is THE greatest form of "enjoying your hard earned money". Not only will you get to enjoy your money, but it will also bring you back even more money once invested wisely. Then there's Person 3, who makes way more money than they spend and have enough money to comfortably invest in their goals and future but has taken some hits and lost money in recent years. Now they are reluctant to try again. Person 3, has to ask themselves, why do I keep failing? Do I need a mentor? Am I in the wrong industry? Am I risking too much money? We all need to fail at some point, because we learn from our failures so that we can reach success.
Remember this, you have to play to win. If you never enter the game, then you will never have a shot at winning anything. Get in the game, raise the money you need to get in the game. Find heroes and mentors that have obtained success in the arenas you want to get into. Analyze your failures, and make the adjustments needed to advance or shift industries before it's too late. At the end of the day, if you do not invest in yourself, then who will?
