Dealing with grief
Processing the loss of a loved one is never easy. Although it is inevitable that at some point in our lives we will have to deal with major losses, it never gets any easier.
We, the surviving family members have to somehow find a way to pick up the pieces and move on. One important thing to remember, is that we all grieve in our own way. So, never judge yourself or others for not grieving in the way that may seem politically correct. It is your grief to bare, so you have to handle things on your own timing. Being there for close friends that have lost a loved one is also very important. Just being there to be a shoulder to lean on and cry on if need be. A listening ear and a pillar of comfort.
To anyone who has lost a loved one or friend in this season of your life, just know that you are not alone. Take the time to ensure that your mental and emotional health is in tact. Do not put any pressure on yourself to hurry back to work, meet deadlines, or any of that. Remember that if you are not ok, then the ones around you won't be ok as well. In these times your well being comes first, so you can be healed and ready to get back to things when it is time to move forward.
